Plaza Premium Lounge (Singapore Changi Airport – Terminal 1) Review:
As I had a couple of hours to spare whilst transiting at Changi Airport and thanks to my friend’s credit card which offered a 25% discount for guests, I was able to enjoy the Plaza Premium Lounge at Terminal 1 with paid access. After a short Skytrain journey from Terminal 2 where my flight from Kuala Lumpur arrived, I made my way to the lounge on the upper floor with ease as there were clear signages present within the terminal. This was my third Plaza Premium Lounge visit having experienced the ones in London and Kuala Lumpur respectively.
C O N C L U S I O N:
All in all, the lounge seemed smaller than the other two I visited in London and KL nevertheless it was functional with all the necessary amenities and offerings that one would expect from an airport lounge. A special mention to the made to order dishes where I got both the Hainanese Chicken Rice and Katong Laksa available that afternoon which tasted amazing though the chef on duty was not the friendliest. Similar to some other Plaza Premium Lounge, the unique individual dining ”pods” were present and I appreciated the seating area with a huge unrestricted view of the apron and runway which offered a great opportunity to plane spot. The short visit this time round was pleasant overall and I would definitely re-visit in the future if I get the chance.
