O V E R V I E W :
This flight review will be the second of two sectors on my journey to tick off a bucket list item of traveling in the premium cabin on my birthday, after the first sector from Kuala Lumpur after which I spent a couple of hours at the SilverKris Business Class Lounge. This was a redemption flight to Tokyo Haneda in Business Class onboard the Airbus 350-900. Following the slight disappointment on my first sector where there wasn’t any special birthday experience throughout the customer touchpoints, I was looking forward to the second sector where I made a special request pre-flight for a complimentary cake which was promptly actioned by the customer service representative who called to confirm my request only after a few hours after I left the note via the Singapore Airlines website.
C O N C L U S I O N:
All in all, I spent most of the flight duration having a good rest given the red eye flight in the lie flat bed which was comfortable with the regional product as I was able to sleep straight ahead rather than at an angle. My pre-ordered Japanese meal was well presented in a lovely Bento box on a single tray due to the sleeper service though the content of the meal had a good variety and portion and more importantly it tasted great. On the side, it is appreciated that SQ offers the complimentary birthday cakes upon request, which was also thoughtfully presented by the cabin crew with a birthday card that was creatively decorated. Overall, the red eye flight in the Business Class cabin was enjoyable with the great inflight dining and entertainment, coupled with the warm and attentive service by the cabin crew onboard, flying with Singapore Airlines on this special occasion was truly an experience to cherish.
