With more and more countries around the world opening up as we transition to the endemic phase of COVID, I took the opportunity to re-visit the beautiful island of Bali in August. If you have been reading my previous reports, you might know that I am fortunate to be working in the industry and have some staff benefits being part of the national airline of Malaysia. As I knew the Kuala Lumpur to Denpasar Bali route was operated on the widebody A330-300 during my travel period, I took the opportunity to book my discounted flight ticket in Business Class to experience the product once again for a longer flight this time after my virgin experience on a domestic one last year.

As this is my second experience in this premium cabin of Malaysia Airlines, the hard product which is typically catered for medium to long haul flights has contributed to a great inflight experience on this regional hop of approximately 3 hours. In terms of the softer product experience, it was a delight to know that physical menus and hot towels are back in service, along with champagne being available during meal service which was greatly appreciated on a flight of this duration. My meal choice was delicious however it is interesting to note that the famed peanuts were not offered at any point until requested. Nevertheless, the cabin crew in this cabin definitely portrayed the famed Malaysian Hospitality and was attentive besides also taking the initiative to connect with passengers more through small talks. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Business Class experience with MH especially on the widebody and I look forward to trying out the fully flat bed with a nap or sleep on a much longer flight in the future.
