O V E R V I E W :
Having wanted to visit Dubai back in 2020 which was otherwise a no go due to obvious reasons, I finally got the chance to pursue this delayed holiday after scoring a good deal with Singapore Airlines to DXB via SIN. The booking for the flights were made just 4 months prior departure back in June 2022, where the promo return fare costed MYR1.6k which was a bargain and the cheapest option available compared to the average fare on this route of MYR2.4k. As it has been 6 years since I last flew with SQ, I was very much looking forward to experiencing their new hard products especially on this first sector to SIN onboard the Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft, which was my virgin flight on this fleet type.
C O N C L U S I O N:
All in all, it was a great flight with an amazing set of crew onboard for this short hop. The hiccup with the check in agent at KUL was slightly disappointing given that all ground personnel should be up to speed in terms of the entry requirements and not be corrected by the passenger instead. For the hard product on the B737 Max 8, I appreciated the responsiveness of the inflight entertainment system though the catalogue seemed limited at that point in time. Service by the crew was conducted professionally without much to fault but it would be nice if some light snacks were also served similar to Malaysia Airlines on this route. Nevertheless, I look forward to fully experience the hard product on this aircraft type on a longer flight down the road.
