O V E R V I E W :
As I have always had the thought of taking a flight in the premium cabin on my birthday, I finally had the chance to tick this off my to do list with a redemption flight on the award winning Singapore Airlines with a transit in Changi before heading to my final destination. This flight review will be the first of two sectors of my journey and also my virgin flight in the Business Class cabin of SQ onboard the Airbus 350-900 aircraft from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore. Fast forward to the day of departure, I was looking forward to the journey and was eager to discover if SQ has any unique experience for passengers travelling on their actual birthday.

C O N C L U S I O N:

Overall, the service by the cabin crew was personal and attentive as I was the only passenger in the aft cabin for Business Class. Given the short hop, only cold sandwiches with 2 options being beef or vegetarian were offered and the taste was mediocre however it is good to know that more recently SQ has stepped up their offerings with more cold options beyond the sandwiches for this route. Whilst it was somewhat disappointing to note there were no birthday surprises along the way, not even a simple wish by the ground staff upon check in, the deployment of this long haul widebody aircraft for this short flight definitely elevated the inflight experience and it was nevertheless a short but yet sweet journey.
